Was at my local flea market card show a few weekends ago and was browsing my normal vintage guys boxes when he told me everything on the table I was looking through was 100 for $10. Well he didn't have to tell me twice I dug in and found some beauties. Including this '73 Dock. what a backdrop. Who knows what stadium that is with the huge stairset in left-center.
![]() More '73 love. Love Joe's sideburns in this shot and the Tony Perez has seen better days but can't complain for 10 cents. |
Eventually I'll get a want list for this set as it's one of my favorites but I'll continue chipping away for now.
More '73 love. The Robinson is an early photoshop special, he's obviously wearing a Dodgers uni. The Oscar Gamble is a great shot and the least miscut of a few I grabbed for a certain Jedi.
Roy Face! These are a little beat yes but they're good enough for me.
Someone punched a hole in you Nellie? That's alright your still welcome at the Jones house for battered vintage cards.
Who could say no to Drysdale for a dime?
My first Mossi, I always had this empty feeling about my collection until those magnificent ears graced my boxes. Now I feel whole.
Grabbed this Willard Schmidt only because I have no other cards from this set and that's my grandpa's first name.
3 iconic pitchers, 3 great looking cards. All in all I pulled over 200 cards out of these boxes with more than half of the vintage variety. I also plugged some holes in my Braves Topps team sets from these sets and more.
