Oh my friends, let me tell you; I’ve been chomping at the bits to start decorating for Valentines.
I want to hold off for another week so I decided to create. Before Christmas I purchased a kit for a valentine garland for half price at Pebbles.
It was easy as 1. 2. 3.
1. Crinkle the dictionary print flowers.
2. Adhere one to each heart and add a button.
3. Outline each flower with silver stickles.
After that just hang them from bakers twine with mini clothespins. Voila!
Notice my cute box? I had to run errands today after quilt guild. I think I was giving off some kind of vibe because every where I went I found red. The color of LOVE.
I found the box at Hobby Lobby. It was not in their Valentines décor, but how perfect are these trumpeting cherubs?
Then I had to drop off some donations at the D.I., a thrift store. Why not go inside after? I found two more red cuties. A red glass plate for $1, and a sweet sugar bowl for 50 cents.
After I made the garland I decided that I would do something with this little chalkboard heart photo album I bought years ago. I covered the front with paper and added a few embellishments.
I’ve only done a few pages inside so far. A layout of our new little grandson born in July.
Some of the pages I will leave the chalkboard and write on them with colored pencil. It’s small, but will be fun to sit out for Valentines with pics of my grandies.
How about you? Has the L.O.V.E. bug bitten you yet?
Hugs,
Jann
