Barbara Broccoli has been working in the 007 franchise since the age of 17, so she’s come across more than a fair few actors filling the spy’s famous shoes.
But while everyone has their favourite, the film producer has declared Daniel Craig as the ‘greatest Bond ever.’
After the huge success of Skyfall last year, which took more than £620million worldwide, Barbara, 52, said: ‘Ask any woman. He’s the most gorgeous man in the world.’

‘Brilliant actor, and he is the greatest Bond ever - I’m not letting him go, not for a long time.’ Barbara told the Daily Mirror.

But for Daniel's predecessor, losing the part was a tough to swallow.
‘It hurt like hell, taking that phone call,’ Pierce Brosnan recalled. ‘I just said, “OK,” put the phone down and that was it. I wasn’t Bond any more. But the experience of Bond was an amazing one, a turning point in my career.'
However the actor does think Craig was a good replacement: ‘I look at photos of Daniel now and I think, “Crikey he’s fit.” He’s got the presence and the voice and he’s a tremendous actor, so he’ll be just dandy.’
As well as Daniel, Broccoli has seen Sir Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton and Pierce Bronson play the charismatic spy, and Moore certainly seems to agree with her conclusion.
The veteran actor told Time magazine that he believed Craig to be so great that he had to write to the producers about it: ‘I think Daniel Craig is the Bond. He’s quite brilliant.
‘I wrote to Barbara and Michael and said… they’ve guaranteed Bond another 50 years of life.’
While Barbara and Roger consider Daniel the greatest 007, it is actually the blonde Bond who enjoyed the most female attention.
From 1973 to 1985, Moore kissed 20 women, while the current spy has only kissed four.
First ever Bond, Sean Connery enjoyed 18 kisses across his James Bond career.
And while Sir Roger is the biggest lady-killer, Brosnan is the biggest killer, period.
In his movies Golden Eye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough and Die Another Day, Pierce notched up 76 kills.
