Drake's God's plan is #1

Drake‘s song “God’s Plan” is looking like it might be his biggest track yet. Now, the certified hit has reached a new milestone. The Scary Hours banger becomes only the fifth song in history to spend its first nine weeks at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Aubrey has a ways to go if he wants the record. “God’s Plan” sits behind Adele’s “Hello” (10 weeks), Puff Daddy’s “I’ll Be Missing You” (11 weeks), Elton John’s “Candle in the Wind 1997/Something About the Way You Look Tonight” (14 weeks) and Mariah Carey’s “One Sweet Day” (16 weeks).
The song already has multiple streaming records under its belt. It broke the single-day Spotify streaming record after garnering a whopping 4,326,679 streams the day after it dropped. The song also helped break Apple Music’s first-day streaming record, as Scary Hours was streamed 14 million times in the 24 hours after it came out. All that led to “God’s Plan” debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 only a week after its release. Amid the valiant efforts from other tracks, the song refuses to be ousted from its spot on the leader board.
Drizzy has been busy working on a new project. Earlier this month, he confirmed he was in the lab putting together his latest collection of songs.
“I love each and every one of you, I’m happy to be home. I’m working on this new album for the city. Yeah, that’s right,” he told fans at a Toronto Raptors game.
Earlier this week, he revealed he has a new single on the way produced by Murda Beatz. He was also recently spotted in Wyoming with Kanye West possibly working on a collab.

Drake's "God's Plan" is the fifth song to spend its first nine weeks on the Hot 100 at #1.
